  • WORK DAY THANK YOU!

    Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!  

    Everyone who was able to come out to Bethel over the last few weeks to help:

    cut trees,

    rake leaves,

    scrub walls,

    clean toilets,

    vaccuum mouse droppings,

    wash windows,

    mop floors,

    clean cabins,

    and all the many other things it takes to open camp after a long winter.

    Thanks to all your help we will be ready to run our first week of the summer next weekend!

  • Administrative Assistant Position HIRED!

    The last several years Bethel Bible Camp has hired an administrative assistant to assist the Camp Manager and Bethel Board throughout the summer months in various administrative tasks. For instance camper and staff registration; creating camp, cabin, and team lists; organizing follow-up camper cards; etc. We were very blessed to have several qualified applicants. The Board met earlier this week to discuss and pray about each candidate. In the end the Board with the exclusion of Tim Gurnett, due to conflict of interest, voted unanimously for Danielle Gurnett. The Board felt that she had the skills, Bethel experience, and heart for Christ that was needed to succeed in this role.
    Thank you to all the candidates for applying and your support of Bethel.

    It was very hard to decide but in the end Amanda‘s design was chosen for the hoodies this summer. Make sure to check them out when you are visiting Bethel. Volunteer at camp to get your very own staff hoodie and attend Staff Training June 22 get to reserve your size.

    Camp registration will be opening for the 2014 camp season on April 1. Please do not try to register prior to April 1 as we are working to improve the quality and efficiency of the website as well as the registration process. Thank you for your patience, and our apologies for any confusion.

  • Staff Orientation Day

    Hello Bethel Bible Camp Staff!

    We will be having a staff orientation day on Sunday, June 23 at 4:30 pm at Capilano Christian Assembly for all staff who will be serving at Bethel this summer. We would really love to see you there so that you can meet with the director and other staff of the camp you are serving at to talk about what will be happening that week. You will also have the opportunity to request your t-shirt or sweat pant size. We have a limited supply of sweat pants, so this is the best opportunity to let us know what you want! Only requests made at the staff training day will be honoured.
    There will also be a few sessions to get you thinking and excited about serving at camp. Some of the sessions are listed below:
    -What makes a counsellor/co-counsellor?
    -Making a theme that grabs their heart
    -Technology and follow-up
    -Being intentional – setting goals about what you want to accomplish at camp and going beyond your role at camp
    We would also like to remind you that our insurance policy requires that all volunteers age 16 and older need to provide a current (within 3 years) Criminal Record Check (CRC). You can request a CRC from your neighbourhood Police station. It should be free for all volunteers, but if the station wants to charge you, email us for a Volunteer Organization Authorization Number (that will help you get your check done for free).
